Episode 051
Today we are going to capitalize off of last week’s episode “Don’t Get It Twisted” where we dove into the importance of your mindset as a leader in your life. Think of today’s as part two. You see the key to having more of what you want in your life is a strong mindset, ownership for what you are creating also known as accountability, being self aware, seeking feedback, and always keeping the end goal in mind. Let me break this down further, there are Four Keys to Success and they go hand in hand, we talked about mindset last week and now we are going to talk about three more called Ownership, Self-Awareness, and End Goal. Do you want more ownership in your life? I have an accountability inventory worksheet that will help you get clear on your ownership for anything you are up to. It is a great way to declare your ownership with actionable steps and also evaluate your results. If you want it go to my website and get on my list. Episode 050
Today we are talking about Mindset because mindset will determine our success and can support us through times of adversity and circumstances that aren’t going our way. Skills and tools are not enough to win at the game of life. What makes the difference is your growth mindset that enables you to make the most of them. The key to success and the key to failure is that you become what you think. The same is true for choosing a mindset that supports our success and by success I mean is that we choose what success is to us, not what someone else defines as our success. With a fixed mindset people believe their qualities are fixed traits and therefore cannot change. With a Growth Mindset people believe that their qualities and abilities can be developed and grow. It contributes to your drive, willingness, and overall foundation of belief to aim for bigger and better things. If you have a fixed mindset, you'll find yourself becoming stuck, without the motivation to achieve anything greater than what you already have. Today we are going to discuss the keys to have a consistent growth mindset, so let’s go! Here are the highlights from this episode: {1:40} How your growth mindset is the thing that makes the difference {2:31} The distinction between fixed and growth mindset {5:45} Honor the struggle so it doesn't derail your success {6:14} How to cultivate a strong mindset {7:11} Number One: The power of intention is key {11:54} Number Two: Creating time to think :14:12} Number Three: Dealing with your negative thoughts {15:57} Number Four: Don't listen to the haters {16:50} Number Five: Meditate {17:44} Number Six: Being a lifelong learner {19:03} Number Seven: Having clear goals {20:17} Number Eight: Work with a coach {20:52} Number Nine: Move your body {21:44} Number Ten: Laugh a lot Want to expand your contribution in your life?
