Episode 019
I was recently in virtual training and I heard “Human beings require 3 things to be happy”
Now I have heard this many times before but for some reason this stopped me in my tracks and the tears started rolling down my face. I remember I wrote it down; explore this and why in the world was this making me cry? And why now? And when has it before? And am I happy? I mean I come off as a pretty positive person and one might think that means of course she is happy, but am I? Am I really? And the answer to that was NO. I’m not happy and I haven’t been for a while... mic drop. In this episode we will take a deep dive into happiness, get real, and work a strategy to bring the joy back. Here are the highlights from this episode: {4:08} Three things to be happy {9:14} Having someone to love {9:55) Avoid boredom: find something to do {19:10} Questions to keep you on track Let us know any questions in life you have and what you would love to hear more about. Episode 017:
I get to work with people every day and often what goes right on to the coaching plan is confidence in... (you fill in the blank). So often we tell ourselves that confidence is one of those inherent qualities and one you may never attain. Either you have it or you don’t. We see people who seem to just exude it. You know who I’m talking about. They walk into a room and just command it. You can’t miss their presence. Have you wanted to be that person? Have you wished that you had the confidence to be the “life of the party” or, if not that, at least not shy away from the party altogether. Whatever “the party is” for you. People are attracted to confidence. I’ve always wanted to inspire that. And here’s what I’ve learned over the years; we can choose to be confident. Today we are going to dig in and explore choosing confidence as a practice. So buckle up entrepreneurs, leaders, business managers and self-improvement seekers. I am confident you will relate at some level. Here are the highlights from this episode: {4:36} Being confident is a choice {11:33} The importance of trusting yourself and getting out your comfort zone {15:17} One person and one situation at a time {22:09} Know your passion, know your purpose values and create an impact Let us know any questions you have in life and what you would love to hear more about. Episode 016:
With Kristin I. Meyer, Ph.D. What two things are required to take a leap of faith? Focus and tenacity. Think of focus as the engine car and tenacity as the caboose on the “E” train. What’s the E train? It’s Energy, Effort and Engage, and represents every car from the engine to the caboose. The engine is focused and sees a track and keeps heading forward, while the caboose has the tenacity to keep going no matter what and sticks with it no matter what. It’s job is to remind the rest of the cars that “WE CAN DO THIS” over and over and over again. Tenacity pushes the other cars called Energy, Effort and Engage, every single day until the destination is reached. Today’s guest, Dr. Kristin I. Meyer, exudes tenacity and you will be inspired throughout her story. She comes from a family that believes in taking leaps of faith and leans into tenacity consistently. We will hear how tenacity has served her tremendously through all of her leaps of faith. Her sage advice will leave entrepreneurs, leaders and self-improvement seekers inspired and empowered to continue to lead from passion and purpose and to stick with it! To connect with Kristin I. Ep 015:
In today’s episode I thought it would be great to dive deeper into the 2nd pillar of what it means t take the lead in your life an that is ”Be Courageous”. We all do this through looking at our comfort zone and the value in challenging ourselves to get out of it and getting comfortable being uncomfortable. Especially today and the times we are going through. I feel like we are being called to stand, and stand in our courage to be specific, while answering the call for change. What will this require? Stretching way beyond our comfort zone. Today I will be vulnerable and tell a story that taught me so many lessons on what it means to be courageous, to lean in, to stretch beyond my comfort zone and take the lead. My wish is that you find the humor that I found and that this episode will inspire you to be courageous and keep stretching. Enjoy and let’s stretch!! Here are the highlights from this episode: {5:58} Arguing for our limitations {9:58} The importance of confronting every self limiting beliefs {17:58} Considering the failure as feedback {22:49} Things that can help us with our limiting beliefs {33:51} Seven questions to challenge yourself Let us know about any questions you have in life and what you would love to hear more about.
