Coaching is a client-centered, and client-directed, intentional process of discovery, learning, growth, and development that is facilitated by the professional relationship between you and your coach. The goal of coaching is to achieve a higher level of personal and/or professional satisfaction and quality of life.
In each meeting, you choose the focus and outcome of the conversation based on your coaching plan, while your coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves you into action. Coaching accelerates your progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where you are now and what you're willing to do to get where you want to be in the future.
The Coach Coaches are experts in the coaching process, which is different from a subject matter expert, who has expertise in a particular industry or profession. There are a number of ways a person develops their expertise as a coach, such as specialized training and certifiation, It is important to consider what you are looking for in a coaching relationship and to select a coach whose background, training, and philosophy fit your needs.

Concerning Advice Advice, opinions, or suggestions are occasionally offered in coaching; however, it is not the focus of interaction. My work is based on the philosophy that you are your own best advisor and source of wisdom and personal truth. On the occasion where advice is offered, we both understand that the you are free to accept or decline what is offered and that you take the ultimate responsibility for your actions.
