Leading from your genius
Happy New Year!
As we closed down 2025, I had so many conversations with clients who are rediscovering what it feels like to lead from their genius, and noticing just how different life feels when they don’t. I wanted to share some reflections with you this month, because this is truly where our leadership, our confidence, and our impact begin to shift.
First, what do I mean when I say “your genius?” I could go on and on about it, and here’s a snapshot: Your genius is the natural way you create value when you’re being fully yourself. There is no “doubting” your genius!
Have you ever noticed the difference between the days when you’re leading from your true genius and the days when you’re just… managing through? The contrast is undeniable, and the impact is powerful.
When we lead from our genius, something inside of us clicks into place. There’s a sense of ease, clarity, and grounded confidence. We make decisions faster because they come from alignment, not pressure. We communicate with intention rather than overthinking every word. And the people around us feel it, your team, your clients, and even the people at home notice when you’re operating from that deeper well of purpose.
Leading from your genius isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It feels like:
Flow instead of friction
Energy instead of exhaustion
Clarity instead of confusion
Momentum instead of stagnation
You feel expansive. Creative. Capable. You lead with a kind of quiet power that doesn’t demand attention, it naturally attracts it.
But then there are the moments when we don’t.
Those moments feel different.
We will tackle those in part 2.
Until next time, remember this: your leadership is your legacy, and your genius is the gift that makes the difference.
