When we don’t initiate our intention

If I’m being honest before I start pretending, this message came from my own lived experience recently. A moment where I realized I was circling something instead of claiming it. No big breakdown. No big breakthrough. Just an awareness that I hadn’t initiated my intention yet… and how different it felt the moment I did.

When intention stays uninitiated, something else quietly takes the lead.

We feel:

  • Pulled in too many directions

  • Busy, but oddly ineffective

  • Reactive instead of responsive

  • Disconnected from our own power

Without intention, we default to old identities, old patterns, and old rules that were never consciously chosen. We wait for motivation, clarity, or permission, while feeling frustrated that things aren’t moving.

This is often where overwhelm lives.

Not because there’s too much to do…
But because there’s no clear inner decision guiding what matters most.

Initiating intention is not about controlling outcomes.

It’s about leading yourself first.

It’s the moment you say:

  • This is who I’m becoming.

  • This is what I’m available for.

  • This is how I move, regardless of how I feel today.

Every time you initiate intention, you strengthen self-trust. Every time you don’t, you hand your power to circumstance. And the beautiful thing? You can initiate intention at any moment.

Right now counts. Today counts. This choice counts.

Ask yourself:

  • Where am I waiting instead of initiating?

  • What am I REALLY waiting for?

Choose one small moment this week to lead yourself first. Let that be enough.

Initiate one decision on purpose before doubt talks you out of it.
